Agenda
The project being an emergency project aimed at expansion the provision of integrated education and child protection services and improves development and stability in target areas in Somalia. EiE project seeks to improve access to equitable, quality education for the floods affected and other marginalized children in the Jubba land State of Somalia – an area of critical need of Gedo region. The target groups for the project is 10 schools that floods have affected. The intervention allows children who have been disconnected from school for significant periods of time resume learning and go back to school.
The project aims at:
- Increasing access to the safe and protective learning environment for 5229 (2029 girls) learners affected by the emergencies in Bardhere and Luuq districts.
- Provide training to teachers psychosocial and CECs on appropriate emergency skills to sustain education intervention.
- Ensure emergencies and crises affected children and youth have access to safe and protective learning environments.
- Ensure vulnerable children and youth are engaged in learning including lifesaving skills, and personal well-being.
